Chinuch Hora'ah of the Day:
When it seems that there is an inadequacy in the [family’s] physical needs, and even if this is in fact the reality chas ve’shalom, it is the role of the akeres habayis to ensure that this does not affect the stability of the home.
The atmosphere should always be permeated with the light of Torah and mitzvos, and bitachon, simchah, and contentment. This [atmosphere] impacts every individual household member as well as the unit as a whole. [As a result,] the husband and children will be healthy and will gain encouragement and strength in their affairs outside the home: for the husband, in matters of parnassah; and for the children, in their chinuch institutions.
Since the merit and responsibility for this is great, the akeres habayis is surely given the strength necessary to fulfill it in the fullest measure. This also applies to bnos Yisrael as they prepare to fill their role as akeres habayis.
