Yeshivas Kayitz: Combining Learning and Fun
Crown Heights Info
For the third straight summer, Yeshivas Kayitz-Costa Rica was an unbelievable success. The program, under the auspices of the Head Shliach to Costa Rica Rabbi Hershel Spalter, and organized by director Moshe Minsky, was geared towards yeshiva students ages 16-17 who were looking to have an exciting summer while continuing to have a Yeshiva experience.

The Tmimim enjoyed a unique learning system, spearheaded by Rabbi Shmuly Geisinsky, which allowed them to choose the topic of study, and thereby increasing their level of effort and interest.

“The amount that the Tmimim learned was amazing,” said Rabbi Geisinsky;“by allowing them to choose the subject, not only did they get more involved in the learning, but they began to really enjoy it as well.”

The students also enjoyed a wide range of activities in the beautiful nation of Costa Rica, which included: white water rafting, horseback riding, zip-lining, scuba diving, hot springs, rain forest excursions, snorkeling, surfing, crocodile feeding and much more.

The program would not have been possible without the endless efforts of the staff, led by head counselor Zevi Geisinsky: Moti Wilansky, Shmuly Levitin, Meir Rapoport, Levi Wilansky, Yitzi Ceitlin, Ary Baldioceda and Yoni Sarue.

A special thank you goes to Shaul Kahana for all that he has done for the Yeshivas Kayitz, especially hosting the farbrengens.
