She bases her vilification on a passage in the Tanya and writings of Rabbi Yitzchok Ginzburg of Kfar Chabad.The Alter Rebbe responded to the accusations with a smile, and his smile was accepted as a valid reply, was exonerated and released from prison.

Is history repeating itself? It all began with a benign donation to Chabad of Riverdale by Councilman Oliver Koppell, from taxpayer money. Goldstein was irked, sent a letter to the Riverdale Press that publicized an item about the donation.

Readers were indignant and hastened to respond to the editor and Goldstein, refuting the defamation of Chabad and noting Chabad's help to anyone in need.
