Valley Chabad's Linking Hearts program recently held an awards ceremony at the Jewish Home Assisted Living in River Vale to recognize the program's teen volunteers for their efforts over the past year.

The teens meet monthly at senior homes where they lead art projects, musical programs, group games and celebrate the seasonal holidays. The program is a division of Valley Chabad's Teen Leadership Initiative, designed to engage teens in an array of volunteering, educational and social programs.

Linking Hearts is open to all Jewish 7th and 8th graders and the 2012-13 year will begin Tuesday, Sept. 11 at the Jewish Home in River Vale. For more information contact Rabbi Yosef Orenstein at 201-476-0157 or rabbiyosef@valleychabad.org.
