Former Prime Minister Yitzchok Shamir passed away today at the age of 96. His levaye will take place today, Monday.  Yitzchak Shamir was a fighter for Shleimus Haaretz in his earlier years, and the Rebbe mentioned to Elyakim Rubinstein that Shamir was the only dissenter to the Camp David Agreement. After the 'targil masriach' (dirty trick) perpetrated by the Left headed by Shimon Peres and charedi MKs, he wrote a letter to the Rebbe thanking him for helping to thwart the devious plan. Rabbi Motti Gal (l'refuah shleima) was the Shliach to bring Shamir's Pa'N to the Rebbe, and he was zoche to recieve a written reply.

Unfortunately the Rebbe had to relay harsh messages to him via Mr. Katzav and Mr. Rubinstein, after he, like those before and after him, began to oscillate and endanger the lives of millions of Yidden in Eretz Yisroel.
