Rabbi Shlomo Koves, Shliach in Budapest, Hungary, was appointed by the Defense Minister to serve as the Chief Military Rabbi of the Hungarian Army.  The head of the Defense Department spoke warmly of the Shliach, and his acquaintence with him in the past two years.  "He is patriotic, noble, dedicated and the title fits him."

Shliach Rabbi Koves said that he is honored greatly by the appointment, and stands ready to serve Jews in the Armed Forces with all their needs.
