Hundreds of people gathered this past Sunday to pay tribute to South Florida Shliach, Rabbi Dovid Bryn, as they launched the writing of a new Sefer Torah in honor of his 10th Yohrtzeit in Highland Lakes.

Community members, Anash & local Shluchim shared their memories of the legendary Shliach and his amazingly aidel yet so accomplished personality.

All in attendance had a chance to write a letter, filling in the first few Pesukim of a Torah that will be a year and a half long project. Every two weeks or so, there will be a Siyum of a Parsha in another persons home, enabling the host/parsha sponsor to invite their friends, giving them all a chance to write a letter.

The completion of the Sefer Torah will G-d willing be celebrated together with the completion of the new Chabad House building, scheduled to break ground in the next two or three months. A documentary of Dovid is also in the works.
