The Rabbi was welcomed with great joy and respect as the first Chabad Rabbi to deliver a Prayer for this Exclusive annual event.
Prayer Breakfast Origin and History
The origin of the National Prayer Breakfast dates back to WWII. In 1942, members of the US Senate and the House of Representatives would gather together during breakfast to pray for our nation; since then members of Congress have continued to meet and pray together. Since 1970 the US Military continued this tradition with their own Prayer Breakfast and Luncheon to pray for our Nation and its Warriors.
