The mispallelim in the first minyan of the Lubavitcher Shul in the center of Rishon L'Tzion had no idea that the usual Shabbos Breishis davening and farbrengen would carry on as a backdrop of a sordid drama.  The mispallelim noticed flames and smoke coming from an apartment across the street, and alerted the emegency services, who arrived promptly at the scene.  Very shockingly, the occupants of the apartment were found lifeless,r"l, and in a short time it was discovered to be a grisly crime scene and not a regular fire.  

The police set up a barrier and  closed off the entire street, and Chassidim wishing to come or go found alternative routes or remained in shul.  While outside reporters, police, ambulances and curious onlookers were busy with the tragedy, Anash carried on the regular davening and traditional Shabbos Breishis farbrengen.
