An exhibition called "Dinner" was opened on Thursday in Bar David Museum in Kibbutz Baram ( Hashomer Hazair).
Among the exhibitors there were internationals artists, but one painting especially excited one of the guests who came from abroad – a painting which was painted by Yechiel Offner.
" I can see my father here . I feel like he is talking to me. It reminds me how before the war we used to live in Lodz in Poland and my father was sitting like this by the table. You have no idea what you have done to me. You brought me back eighty years " she said excitedly.
The exhibition curator asked the artist Yechiel Offner to give a lecture on Chassidic art for the museum guests.
Offner said he paints Chassidic life and sees it as a mission to open hearts. He also explained what a farbrengen is and described the love for simple Jews of the Baal Shem Tov that he is trying to pass on through his art work.
The visitors in the museum expressed interest in the Chassidic way of life and were exposed to new ideas.
