With a wide swath of suburban Oklahoma City destroyed, and the need for food and basic living supplies growing, The Chabad Community Center of Southern Oklahoma continued its efforts to assist those devastated by the tornado that sped through parts of Oklahoma City and its suburbs Monday afternoon, leaving 24 dead, nine of them children.  Minister of Agriculture Visits Bais Chabad 

Yair Shamir, Israel's Minister of Agriculture, visited with Rabbi Uri Blumenfeld, the Rebbe's Shliach to Lima, Peru. Mr. Shamir davened Maariv in the Bais Chabad and dined with the Shliach and his family. Mr. Shamir was on his maiden tour as minister, and remarked that he makes a point of visiting with the local Jewish community and Botei Chabad on all his trips ■ more
