THESE DAYS WILL BECOME HAPPY AND JOYOUS OCCASIONS AND FINE FESTIVALS

Why is it that recently there is a constant, unrelenting clamor and “storm” about the impending Redemption? Seemingly, this was not done in the past years? It wasn’t seen that such a storm should be made, that the Geula is coming, in a way that we can see it with our eyes of flesh, in a tangible, actual and real sense, down here in this physical and material world, and throughout the entire world – thus, why particularly now such a “storm”?

The explanation to this question is simple (and even the skeptics will also agree): Moshiach is already long overdue! All predetermined times (for the Geula) have all already come and passed (Sanhedrin 97b) – this was already the case years ago - as was declared (also years ago), by the Rebbe my Father-in law, that “l’alter l’teshuva l’alter l’Geula” (immediate teshuva immediate Redemption) – the word “immediate” denotes the future tense – may this become from future tense to the present tense, in this very moment, instantaneously.

Then, these days will become happy and joyous days, and will be transformed to fine festivals, and they will become even greater festivals, as our Sages explain that Tisha b’Av will become greater than the festivals and ordinary Yomim-Tovim.

We should see this with our eyes of flesh, as it’s explained in the holy Tanya (Ch. 36) “and your eyes will see your teacher,” because “no longer shall your Teacher hide Himself” (lit: “He will not conceal Himself from you with robe and garment”) (Yeshaya 30:20). This means, your “Teacher” as it refers to the Arizal haChai [whose Histalkus was on the 5th day of Menachem Av – (see box below)], and “Teacher” as it refers to the Rebbe, my Father-in-law, the Nassi of our generation, that we shall see it with our eyes of flesh because “those who rest in the dust will arise and rejoice” instantaneously. And then we will continue the “nine days” as “days of joy and fine festivals,” especially that we have long ago eliminated the opposite of “you shall love truth and peace” as is written explicitly in Torah (Zecharia 8:19) “you shall love truth and peace.”

This will all become in a revealed way, for these days will be transformed to days of happyand joyous (occasions) and fine festivals (see Zecharia 8:19). (Eve of the 5th of Menachem av 5748)

The title ARIZAL haCHAI

The customary title (which is brought in many seforim) for the Arizal is “Arizal haChai” [who lives]. Because after saying “(Ari) za”l” (zichrono l’bracha - [his memory be blessed]) we immediately add “haChai” [who lives] – that he is “alive” and he has an effect and influence on things which we can see with our eyes of flesh – this means “haChai” alive! The main emphasis of these days is, that things which are concealed should be revealed – similarly, that which is concealed should be transformed to days which we all can see with our eyes of flesh, that they are days of joy, happiness and fine festivals, may it be instantaneously!
